One
My journey began, as journeys often do.
I awoke in a field, the earnest face of spriggs looking down on me inquisitively. I shoved them away with a mutter of annoyance to find a Sapien a few feet away, regarding me with humor. Whatever it was that so amused him escaped me and did nothing to assuage my ire at finding myself in a place that was both foreign and...yet strangely familiar. The Sapien informed me that I'd fallen asleep, something I find difficult to believe considering...
Considering what?
I grasped at my identity, mentally watching it slip through my fingers like so much water. All I could remember was my name. It was short and fleeting, but the only remnant to which I could cling.
Redlance.
